Plymouths were revised in 1942 with lager horizontal grilles and redesigned doors that eliminated the running boards of previous years. All 1942 Plymouths were powered by 95-hp 217-cid 6-cylinder engines along with 3-speed manual transmissions. The pictured Plymouth was a WWII “black out” model, recognizable by painted bumpers. These models were produced during January of 1942. Plymouth production was low in 1942 due to the war, which makes these models scarce.
