About vehicle
The first rambler the first rambler was produced in 1950 as a compact, affordable peoples car. its success was so huge that by the mid-1950s it propelled amc into the ranks of the big four, along with chrysler, ford and gm. It was initially released in convertible and station wagon models, but a year later a hardtop joined the line. from practicality to performance during 1950-55, ramblers were still categorized as compacts. In 1956, however, amc came out with a larger, squarer four-door sedan rambler the companys first all-new automobile which got good mileage despite the larger 255cc engine. For 1957, the company shocked the auto industry with the release of the rambler rebel. With its modern, squarish styling and the powerful 327cc engine delivering 250 hp, the rebel was no economy car. To complement the new speed, the rebel was equipped with heavy- duty springs, adjustable shocks and power steering and brakes. The car successfully showed that amc could produce competitive v8s
The rebel is aptly named, for it totally reversed the compact-car image that amc, and originally nash, first enjoyed. Only 1,500 were produced.
