Smallest of the alfa romeo coupes, the 1300 gt junior was derived from the giulia sprint gt, but it had a simpler consoleless interior and plainer front end. Some 80,000 were sold in europe, where it was popular for its low cost and good fuel economy. It was not exported to the United States.

Prized for economy the 1300 gt junior inherited the new body of the bertone-designed giulia gtv and had a 92.5-in. Wheelbase. More stripped down than the gtv, the junior was aimed in theory at a younger clientele. The 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine of the old giuliettas was moderately reworked and made more powerful with dual weber carburetors. Top speed reached an impressive 105 mph. restyled front end this model received a new front end in the spirit of the 1750 gtv coupes when the dashboard was redesigned in 1971. Three years later, the 1300 junior was given the exterior look of the 2000 gtv models with quad headlights, as well as a more attractive interior. Like the other coupes of the giulia series, the 1300 gt junior. was very successful commercially before bein£ retired from production.
Tioe alfa romeo 1300 gt junior was a small coupe with impressive performance. A later version had four headlights instead of two.
