Prized for economy
the 1300 gt junior inherited the new body of the bertone-designed giulia gtv and had a 92.5-in. Wheelbase. More stripped down than the gtv, the junior was aimed in theory at a younger clientele. The 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine of the old giuliettas was moderately reworked and made more powerful with dual weber carburetors. Top speed reached an impressive 105 mph.
restyled front end
this model received a new front end in the spirit of the 1750 gtv coupes when the dashboard was redesigned in 1971. Three years later, the 1300 junior was given the exterior look of the 2000 gtv models with quad headlights, as well as a more attractive interior.
